Copyright Eloise Archer BY ELOISE ARCHER According to the NHS website, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK, and almost 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer within their lifetime. These are some very daunting statistics, but when detected early on, survival rates are proven to be much higher. The Breast Cancer Support Charity also states that, “more than 90% of women diagnosed with breast cancer at the earliest stage survive their disease for at least 5 years, compared to around 15% for women diagnosed with the most advanced stage of disease”.
